The Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L USM is a classic between pro photographers.
While many may consider it a lense with shortcuts for landscape photography the truth is that this lense is excelent for landscape, action sports and portraits. You can check John Shaw landscape photography to create an opinion.
For me, a botanical photographer, the Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L USM is an outstanding lense for capturing live occuring around the world of flora. I also find it excelent for architecture and design objects. Finally, if you like to document the private life of profesionals, that is my case, you will find a whole new world of senses and detail when shooting. My last new project “Live of a fisherman in Meditteranean waters” was 80% done with this lense and a Canon 5D MarkII.
Here I add the lense data plus photo samples taken for testing purposes.
