Japanese Botanical Photography and Bonsais

Love for Japanese Nature and Aesthetics 自然, a close and harmonious relationship between man and nature, man in nature. The Japanese Botanical Photography and Bonsais post sets its values in Wabi-sabi: a mindful approach to everyday life, the aesthetics of beauty defined as imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.

Allow a quiet mind and cultivate your eye to discern the beauty of Bonsais. Allow your mind to accept asymmetry and irregularity, Fukinsei; simplicity or Kanso; basic or weathered, Koko; natural and without presence, Shizen; not obvious and subtly profound grace, Yugen; free and unbounded by convention, Datsuzoku and tranquility, Seijaku.

Allow your mind no mind to Kokoro:

“The mind which is always on your side is not just your mind, it is universal mind, always the same, not different from another’s mind. It is Zen mind. It is big, big mind. This mind is whatever you see—this mind is at the same time everything”.
