It is 08:30 in the morning when I arrive to Finca el Torrero to meet the Gastrobotany team. Santiago Orts, Rodrigo de la Calle, CRIS_33, family and friends like Dani Frias are already walking around

Today, thanks to FUENSO, we will delve into the world of Gastrobotany, a gastronomical fantasy. Santiago Orts will introduce us to the concept, Rodrigo de la Calle will cook aperitifs made out of Gastrobotany tomatos and in the mean time a micro trip to the tomato fields will take place. Astronauts like protection suits to enter the tomato fields to avoid the green dust, sizers and a basket and an olfative sensation before tasting the product creates a perfect atmosphere.

And so it goes for two hours, and so I represent in photos the event and the fantastique people I met: the French Press, the British Press, the Spanish Press, gastronomy experts whose advice is always welcome and sharp and above all the Human kindness of the Orts Family.

Entrar en la Gastrobotánica de Santiago Orts es abrir la puerta del Hortus conclusus latino. Una mística combinada de pura naturaleza alimentaria que acerca al paladar paisajes gastronómicos (Quique Dacosta).

Vuelvo a fotografiar los tomates ya maduros, antes de cortar, y el aroma rezuma perfumes universales venidos de variedades mexicanas, de Aranjuez, de Benissa, cherries, morados, una cartografía infinita de sabores del Solanum lycopersicum.

La Gastrobotánica de Santiago Orts es, de nuevo, sorprendentemente exquisita.
