Show Gardens at the 2011 Chelsea Flower Show: A Monaco Garden

A Monaco Garden info:

A Monaco Garden:

The garden illustrates the interaction of architecture and landscape that characterizes Monaco. The garden shows how landscape and architecture can work together to provide aesthetic and environmentally sustainable solutions to high density living.

As well as being a private garden, the exhibit represents the topography of Monaco. The pool is naturally filtered and is supplied by water collected and fed via the rooftops.

Artworks:

The garden features the work of the world renowned artist David Shilling who lives in Monaco. His work includes two canvas pieces and a iconic sofa.

There are a number of pots by Peter Beard within the garden which are inspired by the form of the Chorisia speciosa tree whose trunk forms a throned and ridged pot belly at maturity. The Monaco Garden at chelsea Flower Show 2011 was a Must See.
