Residential Landscape Architecture

A landscape architect in particular and a work steeped in nature called my interest in particular. Fernando Caruncho with his philosophy of the Mediterranean garden and Frank O. Gehry with his leonardian interpretation of a XXI century chateau in the “City of Wine”, Marques de Riscal the Blind, represent the infinite aesthetic opposite of the residential landscape architecture.

The design of private gardens and public spaces along with the knowledge of landscape forms resulting from the philosophy of nature and knowledge of aesthetic values make landscape architecture a profession that goes beyond the utility of recreational landscapes.

Landscape architecture requires knowledge of botany, horticulture, fine arts, industrial design, geology, environmental psychology and ecology. XXI century landscape architecture has become a photographic negative adapted to our times expressing the latent relationship between man and the natural environment and hence the ultimate end of man: beauty
