Ready for the 3rd San Francisco Food Street Festival 2011
La Cocina SF is an amazing project born at san Francisco Mission District to cultivate and foster low-income food entrepreneurs. Devoted to to women from color and immigrant communities La Cocina is an incubator ground-breaking business oriented providing shared resources to those motivated entrepreneurs making the transition into the competitive food industry.
Every year La Cocina celebrates the San Francisco Street Food Festival. This years events is presented by Mission Tortilla and it will feature more than 30 micro vendors from La Cocina, 25 of the Bay´s best owner operated restaurants plus food trucks and mobile vendors from across the country.
Personally it is going to be a challenge moving from photo documenting the best Chefs Cuisines of Spain (Ferran Adria El Bulli, Joan Roca) to La Cocina San Francisco Food Street Festival and it is for this reason that I want to thank La Cocina and Caleb Zigas for granting me permission to photograph.
I’ve always thought that the new Gastronomy Alphabets of the best world best chefs inherited their culinary wisdom from traditional gastronomy and it is again for this reason that the San Francisco Food Street Festival is a milestone to understand what real food is about.
